Special Interest Section: Slam Dunk Djs in English

We didn't plan to fall into Slam Dunk fandom. It was one of those things that just happened, progressing from 'Good grief, those guys are big and ugly' to 'But Sakuragi is pretty funny' to 'And I really want to see him win' to 'And of course he belongs with Rukawa.' If you've never seen the series, watch out; because it's very easy to get hooked. Even if you really really hate basketball. ^_^
Now for a great big disclaimer. We're just starting to explore Slam Dunk and not very familiar with the characters, locations, plot, and so on. That means that any time a line in a dj calls for an assumption, we're as likely as not to make a mistake. Plus, our dear patient M.J. Johnson informs us that these stories involve a lot of slang, the kind used by tough teenage boyz of the 90s, and that she's not sure about some of it herself. Please bear all this in mind as you read, and if you find an error, tell us! We'd very much appreciate any help.
Finally, for any YYH fans that may be eyeing this section with concern: don't. Yu*Yu*Hakusho is still our primary love, and we're not just saying that because Hiei would fry our eyeballs quicker than you can say 'Mr. Flibble' if we didn't.
